About us

Growing up in Chile, Sami didn’t plan to become a photographer. His journey to professional photography grew out of his love of people and animals and the joy he gets from capturing an interaction among friends or family members, what he sees in a person’s eyes, or the personality of a dog or a cat. When he first started learning about photography, he would take pictures at attend events or when hanging out with friends and family just like everyone else but when people started asking him to send them his photos and he became the designated photographer more and more often, he decided to turn his passion into a profession. In addition to taking the group shots, the cake cutting moments, and documenting speakers at local events, it is the images and moments captured outside the obvious that fuel his passion. 

Sami is a professional photographer and visual artist with more than 15 years of experience in commercial and fine art photography. His range of experience includes portraits, headshots, community activities, real estate, and event photography. Sami studied at the School of Visual Arts and Universidad de Chile. Born in Chile, Sami came to New York City in 1996 to visit friends and met his wife, Jennifer – the rest is history.
